this will be my last post until the writer’s strike is over. I hope that will be sooner than later but I also get everything they deserve from those evil corporations. Blogging was a new experience for me and I don’t think I have it down just yet. there is something weird about sharing your thoughts with a big, wide world of strangers. Fortunately, I don’t think many people noticed. Thanks to all who visited. May Stephen return soon to save the world.

We are now over a month into the writer’s strike and not an end in sight. This article in the Seattle PI makes a great point. We need our Stephen Colberts and Jon Stewarts to remind us that we need to laugh at what is going on in the world. And although they are not there every night to remind us, the dialogue must continue so that people do not forget what is going on out there in the world, that amongst the funny there is the need for action.

I found this op-ed piece from the New York Times, a little Stephen C. cameo. I am fascinated by his ability to be such an ass while at the same time making such a poignant statement about the state of our political system. Although I have not yet had a chance to read I Am America (and so can you), I am imagining that this piece gives us some insight into what is in between those covers. I only wish he would write more newspaper columns so that those people that would never dream of buying his book or can’t afford the cable can gain exposure to his brilliant point of view.

Stephen has been off the air for going on 4 weeks now. I feel for the writers who are not getting their fair shake but come on people. I need my fix. Trent Lott is resigning and not a joke to be heard. Right now Tivo is my morphine to ease the shakes.

Last week Colbert was rejected by the powers that be of the Democratic nomination committee. Hopefully now he will stop shamelessly advertising for Doritos on his show. I really can’t stand that! I must now search for a new Presidential candidate to support….

Obama it is! I was gonna vote for him all along anyway.

I will be watching the Colbert Report (after the writers get what they deserve) in anticipation, hoping that Obama lives up to his Grit-off challenge he made on the campaign trail a few weeks ago.

“Million back comic as president!” This is a headline I found when I was browsing BBC online. Fake campaign or not, the people have spoken. And there may be a million high schoolers on Facebook that want Stephen for president but there are millions more eligible voters willing to make it real.

BTW He is already showing up in the polls in South Carolina with 2.3% of those polled saying they would vote for him.

Stephen T. Colbert for Prez

I have been waiting for this moment for years…a real presidential candidate. Last week Stephen Colbert announced that he is in fact running for the President of the United States of America in South Carolina. I don’t know how serious he is about seeing his campaign to the end or if he will run outside of his home state after the primaries are over and I don’t care.

He is a white man but I can forgive him this flaw because he is articulate, intelligent, and witty. And for all you Conservatives out there he is a southerner who is a family man of Christian values. So forget all those dry, lying, spineless losers and tune in to Stephen Colbert.
