this will be my last post until the writer’s strike is over.  I hope that will be sooner than later but I also get everything they deserve from those evil corporations.  Blogging was a new experience for me and I don’t think I have it down just yet.  there is something weird about sharing your thoughts with a big, wide world of strangers.  Fortunately, I don’t think many people noticed.  Thanks to all who visited.  May Stephen return soon to save the world.

“These are the satirists whose job it is to reveal the absurdity of the system, cut egos down to size and remind their audience that even the powerful are human. That before we worry, we should laugh.

They are not just entertainment. They are important.”

We are now over a month into the writer’s strike and not an end in sight. This article in the Seattle PI makes a great point. We need our Stephen Colberts and Jon Stewarts to remind us that we need to laugh at what is going on in the world. And although they are not there every night to remind us, the dialogue must continue so that people do not forget what is going on out there in the world, that amongst the funny there is the need for action.
